My kids LOVE Snap Circuits Beginner and Advanced STEM learning kits!

Learning basic electronics is fundamental to a strong STEM learning experience. I bought these two kits for my kids to help them understand electrical theory, basic circuit construction, and advanced electronics that you can build yourself – regardless of age. Snap Circuits is one of the best systems I’ve come across to teach this.

  1. i would’ve MUCH rather have had this as a kid. i used to take apart fans and put them back together. this opens up so much more possibilities wow

  2. This is exactly the review I needed to explain the differences between the sets. Thank you for being hands on with it!

  3. @2:30 This it cute but they should have started with a simple led to explain how reversing it prevents it from lighting up then a motor explaining that it works both ways, just spins counterclockwise, and only then the fan because here you have 2 different concepts at once and it’s on to the parents to explain to the confused kid what is happening with aproximate language as they might not be interested … And then they double down with the reversible led with 2 colors making it even more confusing.
This suggests they don’t trust kids to understand basic principles like flow direction and energy consumption and thus it’s a kit i wouldn’t recommend unless it’s as an add on to another one with more basic modules. : (

  4. I’m an electrical engineer and product designer with 15 years of experience, and I honestly think Snap Circuits is one of the best learning kits on the market. I tutor a lot, and breadboards or soldering can be frustrating when someone is just starting out. The snap system removes a lot of that friction, so the focus stays on learning the circuit instead of fighting the connections.

I’ve been working on some custom expansions too, including a fully working flashlight using Snap Circuits and 3D-printed parts. I recently posted a video showing the build.
